Exclamation Help!!!! the little things are going out.

Last week I went to get in my car and realized the power locks have gone out.(1993 300SE) Has anyone ever experienced or fixed this problem. It's not a fuse, checked everyone in the car. Also the handle that pops out of the trunk and the back-up assist antennas have quit working so I'm assuming these are all interconnected somehow. Are the locks on a W140 vacuum operated like the W126? Any help would be greatly appreciated. This car has so many electronics, i fear that once they begin to go out it's not long before it's dead.

Cliff, I am 98% sure the locks are vacuum, same for the trunk. All I can add is that my new to me 97S320 has had two incidences where there were problems with the trunk. Last repair was changing the trunk latch.

Guys' 110% sure the locks are vac. Pump for the lock (PSE pump) is under the rear seat on the right (pass) side. I am not sure as the system changed a bit through the production run, but pretty sure they used this same pump to run the handle in the trunk. Early production they used a pump in the trunk, this is the one that sucks the doors shut.

I've doen some research and concluded that all the problems stem from the pump under the back seat. Luckily these go for a low price of around $700-1000. Anyone know about rebuilding one???

I hadn't even thought about the plumbing. How would one go about checking that out? Is there a way to test the lines?

Document, document, document = pictures, hand drawings, written notes on every line tested.

Disconnect all vacuum lines from the pump, plug all save one, use a vacuum hand pump to apply vacuum.
As you test each tube, mark it in some way.
