83 380 SEL vacuum pump rebuild?

83 SEL Vacuum Supply Pump
Can this be rebuilt? I believe the diaphram is shot as I get zero vacuum and zero presure with the pump running and checking at the pump. $300+ seems a bit steep for a replacement. I have access to one on a 86 560 SL. Part #'s do not match acording to online part catalogs, but can this newer pump work in the 83 380 SEL?
PO removed all the vacuum lines in the drivers door and the line running to the L. rear. What is the bag limit per year on POs? ... Or is there a bounty? Say $5K/ ear? Make them drive SCIONS in the left lane?

door lock pump

the pump from the 560 was from a diff era with 3 point lock and unlock.if you're good you should be able to make it work once you understand both systems.

Post a "WTB" add in the parts forum.

that's how I replaced mine. For as little as $35/shipped.

I think bounty is the way to go, because instead of just watching out for just one guy, he won't be able to sleep at night with a price on his head.

Then they'll just be holding up the rest of us!

You should be able to modify the 560's pump to work. I don't know how you can disassemble these pumps, but if you can then POSSIBLY the rubber bits may be interchangeable?

I'll look out for 380's/500's in the yard today.
