Trunk Shut Battery Not Connected HELP!

So I am new to this entire Mercedes design. To make this short I need to gain access to my trunk. I have done everything from key in the lock to removing the middle section of the rear seat (and no the seat release lever will not work without the battery connected). So if anyone has any ideas please feel free to share!
Thanks in advance!
Neil

Can you open the drivers door with your key ( to unlatch the hood )?

There is a positive terminal under the hood, you can jump power using jumper cables to that terminal, then the power locks will work. I think that's what Manny is getting at.
The mechanical key WILL open the trunk. You put the key in and rotate it (either clockwise or counter clockwise, forget which) then push IN on the key/lock cylinder. This is all in the owners manual.
