Windshield replacement advice needed W126

I've got a crack in the windshield of the 560SEC which has spread.

Windshield replacement is covered by my Insurance,(comprehensive) but are there any tips for replacing it?

What glass brand is recommended, Sekurit (which it has now) or Sigla?

I would like to use one of the mobile glass installers in the area, can they be generally trusted to do a good job, or do I need to go to a glass shop?

Any tips or precautions needed to ensure a good seal, that it won't leak and the windshield wipers won't chatter across the glass afterwards, and will "park" correctly after the windshied is installed?

Are there sunroof or drain channels that need to be cleaned out?

It is still summer, can the job be properly performed in the driveway by the mobile installers in the hot Northern California Sierra Nevada sun? Or should I wait until the fall, when it's cooler outside or simply have it done indoors at a glass shop?

Sorry for all the questions, but I'd like it done right the first time and with no subsequent leak or seal issues arising afterwards...
