Benz acting up (srs and abs light on) seat warmers aren't turning off

Last week before I went on vacation I had a problem starting the car. The abs/SRS light on the dash lit up and the seat warmers wouldn't turn off. I'm guessing this is electrical. Well, when I shut off the car and tried to restart, the car wouldn't start. Someone came to help me out and hit the starter to get it to start. When I got home and turned the car off, it wouldn't start. Well I had to go out of state so I left the car with the battery disconnected. Came back and the car started fine and after 10 min of driving SRS/abs lights came on and the seatwarmers were on since the car was first started.

After I came home again and tried to start it, it isn't starting The lights are all working fine, car just doesn't start..I hear the click but engine is not starting up. Guessing it has to do with either A> starter/alternater B> electrical C> both.

Anyways will have to take it in (was going to take it in to the shop anyways for other fix up), but now I have to get this fixed up as well.

Any ideas on what the problem might be?

btw, this is a w140 95 s500 sedan

strange thing..going tomorrow to dealership but strange thing is..same thing happened today.. i left the battery disconnected over night, just now i connected the battery and the car started up with no problems. same thing happened as well..after about 10 min of driving, ASR, ABS, and SRS lights came on. Drove around and came back home..turned car off and tried to restart it right after I turned it off and same issue..car won't start...it just clicks but doesn't start up

also, the seat warmers are still acting up and staying on once the car starts.

Eeek,

A number of unrelated systems acting up. Internal wiring harness failure? Sounds like you may have some short circuits in there. Let the mechanic take a look. I hope its something simple!!!

Good luck!

You never know it could be something simple and the seat heaters are just a random failure. I had a Volvo S70 that was doing all sorts of crazy stuff and it had a short circuit in one of its battery cells. Ten dollars later (Volvo makes their own batteries and warranties them pro rated) I had a new battery and I was on my way. They even paid for the tow.

I hope its something simple!

Sounds like the charging system is the problem..check voltage as the problem happens..most likely an alternator or voltage regulator.
