76 450SL injectors

I'm replacing the fuel injectors on the above. The system is the Bosch CIS. I've been told that the injector is not rebuildable. Is this right? I'd like to have these cleaned and rebuilt to keep for future---ya never know!

450sl injectors

while you are there make sure you replace the seals and cups as well.

Thanks guys--David, I didn't see that the holder(cup)needed replacement also. The 2 manuals I own just say to replace the injector and seal. I didn't see that the holder was removable, I thought it was in the casting of the manifold. What a great site.
Thanks
Terry

Injectors

Bosch Injectors cost about $30 each from Advance Auto parts
They do not sell the rubber sleeves that seal the injector into the engine. You'll need to get this from an MB supplier or dealer. They cost less then $2 each.

The link below will take you to an injector rebuilder to ask if he can do yours-

Click on "Buy Parts" at the top of this page. FastLane hosts this site and has good parts prices. These injectors are so cheap that they're not worth rebuilding!

You might look into this company for reconditioning your injectors, if you want spares on the shelf.

Looks like the cost is about $12/each...seems cheap enough.
