1982 380sl
is there any way to get the timing cover off with out pulling the heads and does anyone know the camshaft specsi need lobe lift and or height thanks

Good news, bad news. Good: you don't need to remove the heads, but there are five small bolts in the chain galleys of the heads that you need to take out. Bad: you need to remove the oil pump, which on a 107 with its one-piece pan means you drop the subframe while supporting the engine, or pull the engine.
