84 500sec plug wires?
 
so anybody know of plug wires as good or better than the factory wires?

i am considering changing mine.

are the factory wires carbon or metal?

Tom, Beru copper wires are the typical factory ignition wires. Try the benzautoparts.com website.

i looked closer at my existing wires today and found they read "copper core" on the side.

they still look pretty sound. i changed all the plugs on the drivers side and still have a miss. so i will be doing some additional diagnostic work soon.

If one of your plug wires has backed out of the wire end, this can/will cause a miss. Just happened on our 500SEL. Back the wire out of the plug end, (unscrews) put some rubberlube or silicone on the end of the wire and screw it back in until seated. Could be many other things, but this was it on our SEL. Assumes you can identify the missing cylinder. Good luck.
