Try AutoRX. Lots of people have had very good luck with it.
I tried attaching a link, but their server seems to be down. |
If anything...these motors loose compression on one side..occasionally. .......Some have jumped time too but they don't usually sludge up unless some cheap skate used inferior oil and left it in too long.
Sludging would contribute to noise ........ can only suggest you use a 0W30 synthetic for 2000 miles and change it again...would also insist you use OE MB oil filter. If it continues after 2000 miles you'll need to pull the cam covers......BTW...MB has released a 'green' gasket to stop the leaks they are prone to. . |
Did you check up on the answers to your previous thread?
http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?t=164333 I personally wouldn't put MMO anywhere near a modern MB engine... |

lifter
if you have a foolproof way of determining which is the faulty lifter.cause it's a little discouraging to do all that work and the noise is still there.

how can i find out which lifter it is?
Thanks
