URGENT:1990 190 E 2.6L Hood won't open

Can someone please help me?! I am unable to get my hood open to my 190 E. I pull the release and it is slack and no pressure at all to pop the hood. Is there away to pry open or some sort of trick to get the hood open in case the cable breaks anyways? PLEASE HELP!!
