Side mirror

Hi Guy's,
Does anyone know how to remove the glass part of the mirror?
The booklet said to stick a wedge between the glass and the shell, and it should pop up, but it doesn't. Maybe I'm to scared to push hard.
Any advice and pictures will be highly appreciated.
