1997 Check Engine Light
 

Today the check engine light kicked in on my 97 E420. The most recent work done on it is a timing chain replacement, oilers and plug suppressors about 3 weeks ago.

When driving, I'm noticing a very slight bounce on the rev counter at idle.
Then the check engine light went on and the gas tank reserve light started flashing.

I reset the codes earlier and got the following codes:

P0173
P0170

Thoughts and opinions would be gratefully appreciated

Thanks for your quick response. It appears to have been a vac line to the purge valve. I'll give it a couple of days and see if it cures itself.
