I had an idle problem for a few months now, after reading posts here for a couple of weeks, I checked the OVR. The fuses were fine so I checked that off. But today, I looked again and noticed that the relay was not all the way plugged into its socket..the socket has broken from its mounting. I pulled out the fuel pump relay to help gain acess and plugged the over into the socket..since the the car is idling absolutly perfectly. Even at a stop sign with the A/C running full blast it still idles perfect..Just wanted to say thanks again for all of your input, this is a great site!

P.S. I think it happened when I had my fuel pump relay replaced, I imagine that whoever did it may have unplugged the ovr and then did not realize that the socket bottom was broken and he did not take the time to plug it back in properly.

Oops,
I forgot to mention..
what is the purpose of the OVR? what does it do and why does it affect the idle?
