Driver's window noise on 91 300CE

My wife's 300 CE driver's window makes 3 loud cliking noises just before it reaches the up position...the problem, besides the noise, is that the window does not go fully up and therefore one hears wind noise when driving. Has anyone had this problem and can you walk me through the fix?
