CLK- Good or bad car?

Was considering paying off a 2001 CLK320. Anyone here have thoughts or experience with this model of Mercedes-Benz? Is it a good coupe? Is it a real Mercedes? Is a 2001 with the inline 6 and 50,000 miles worth between 15 and 19 Grand?

I think a car like this would be really mean with a supercharger and lowering kit. In Black on Black of course.

Thanks,
Jason

Why not just get a 430, Jason? That would be my vote. That vintage CLK is the best, aesthetically, IMO. The current body style is not as nice as the earlier one.

Either way, you've got my vote. It's a sweet-looking machine!

430 Vs. 320

Not sure the 430 is all that much of an upgrade. Do you know much about the motor? I do know the inline six cylinder motor. Is the 3.2 liter motor found in the 2001 CLK the inline six from the last of the E-class 320 models or is it the V-6 as found in the newer C-class C320?

Thanks
Jason

No I6 in 2001 CLK320

That car would have a V6.

^^ Yea - all the US CLKs of that vintage (98 - 02) were offered with the m112 V6 and m113 V8.
