1994 Sl600 won't start
I am new here but have been reading a lot of post trying to figure out my problem. Here is a brief outline of my problem. The other day I was going to pick up my daughter and was on the open road (55 mph). The car shut off, slowed down but started back up. 15 minutes later the car shuts off, slows down and starts back up. I never came to a complete stop. 10-15 minutes later...the same thing. Understand, I am worried because several people told me I did not need nor could I afford a SL600. After I picked up my daughter the car ran fine for the next 50 miles. This afternoon (a week later) I go to start the car, it starts but runs terrible for about 10 seconds and then it cuts off. I try 4-5 times to start but no success. The car turns over fine but no attempt at starting. Hope someone has good news for me. Thanks in advance.

1994 SL 600 will not start
I am new here but have been reading a lot of post trying to figure out what the problem may be with my 1994 SL600. Here is a brief outline of what has taken place. I have owned the car for about 6 months without any incident. The other day I was going to pick up my daughter and was on the open road (55 mph). The car shut off, slowed down but started back up. 15 minutes later the car shuts off, slows down and starts back up again. I do hope someone can help put me on the right track.

How many miles on the car? Have you replaced the wiring harness(s)? Chances are you are going to be in for some expense.
I saw this sort of thing happen to a fellows 600 in NY, his harness was on the fritz and took his EZL's out with it (MB didn't think they needed to have a fuse in line until after countless #'s of units were eaten by faulty wiring). Short of it, new harness, new EZL's and Lots of $$$ later he was back on the road. I suggest you take the car to someone familiar w/ 140's and M120's. Jonathan
