Did any USA W140's come without memory on drivers seat?

I have a gray market '95 S280 with a power drivers seat but without memory function (and a manual passenger seat). Before checking junk yards here, were they sold in the U.S.A. without memory? I need a switch and the one with memory won't fit the wiring connector in the door panel.

All US version W140s have power memory seats.

Does you car have closing assist?

No closing assist and no sunroof but it's a 5-speed stick!

Can you post pictures of the center console? I've never seen a manual W140.

The previous owner installed an aftermarket shift knob and boot. I'm still looking for a stock shifter boot and the 1986-88 300E USA models won't fit although the shift knob does.

What's the switch to the left of the ashtray?

To turn off the traction control, either ASD (standard on the S 280) or ASR (an extra cost option).

It's a switch for a light, the location of which I have not determined yet. Not front dome light or rear dome light.

you are going to have to go thru the dealer to get your switch.has to come out of germany, approx 4 days.

Yea, at $200! For something that I basically set once and hardly ever use again. Thinking what european junkyards I would check for a used one? England with right hand drive where this switch would be for the passenger's seat or on the continent for LHD cars. First I'm taking apart the switch to see if anything can be cleaned like on the older style cars.

Hmmm,

If you were super cheap you could just use jumpers on the wiring contacts to move the seat into position and forget about it but it becomes a bit of a pain when you want to loan someone your car. My 126's connector has come apart under the seat and I have yet to bother with it. The seat is in "my" position and I am comfortable when I occasionally drive the car. I had a friend that wanted to borrow the car but could not reach the pedals. :)
