Does anyone have a schematic to tell what color of wire runs the internal dash lights. Mine do not work even though the heater, shift and all others work. I am trying to determine which wire powers them.

DASH LIGHTS
 
BEFORE YOU GO TEARING INTO THE WIRING HARNESS IF THE FUSES ARE OK. cHECK TO REOSTAT THE DIMMER KNOB ON YOUR INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DOES IT WORK? dO YOU SEE ALL THE LIGHTS GOING TO THE WINDOW SWITCHES ETC. DO YOUR PANELS LIGHT UP.


CHECK THESE ITEMS OUT I DO HAVE THE DIAGRAMS FOR THIS MODEL BUT FIRST CHECK THOSE ITEM OUT LIKE I SAID

Yes the reostat works and all the other lights except the dash. Changed the fuse to.

All dash lights are powered by a gray wire with a blue line...newer models have a violet line on the gray wire.

The W201 has a central connection point in the heater housing. It is located in the top of the heater housing at the left side and can be seen after the dash cluster is removed (it is practically behind the rear defroster switch). The wires are connected to this point by a screwed tight eye...
