Hi folks,
I'm finally getting some of the initial maintenance done on our "new" 1987 300e and my MB manual makes references to 4 model numbers of automatic transmissions for my car. How does one determine which transmission he has?

With that said, how does one determine which differential he has?

722.320 if I remember right.

The diff will have a number stamped on the rear of it, on the flat surface the cover mounts to. Might be under some gunk build up.
