Is this car a good deal.
Well, my 560SEL is starting to give me some trouble. The passenger valve cover gasket is leaking (again) and, well, I'm taking it to a shop in Wilmington to have it fixed tomorrow. I still don't have any blower on any speed, and the suspension is making horrible creaking noises ALL OF THE TIME . To top it off, the transmission is taking its time engaging into gear, and the transmission leak has worsened. This car will cost me probably upwards of 1800.00 to repair (at the cheapest). I can buy a 92 300SE (W140) for around $4500.00 from a guy I know. It has around 215k miles, but has all of the service records, and they show a throttle actuator replacement at 145k, wiring harness replaced at 104k, and evaporator replaced at 129k. What do I need to be watchful of? Is this a good price for a good car?
Thanks, Dave.

If you arent concerned with gas mileage too much, Look for a V8 model. Although they can be troublesome as most are, find a nice one with records and well maintained. you wont be disappointed. Have you thought of another 560SEL or even a 420SEL? Less too maintain and somewhat easier to work on that the newer advanced models.
