trimmer plug

I have a 300E 1991 and changing the fuel pump relay, I saw a plug with number from 1 to 7 (it is in the middle of 4 and 5). I looked for the number (01454570280 and its called "trimmer plug". Which is the exactlly function of this devide? Thanks
