My limited understanding says "no", but I don't have the specs to be able to concretely say that.

That is indeed what I would like to know. I have found a custom 190E wheel that I would like to put in my 240D. The wheel does not include the hub, however I was hoping it would fit since it looks, by external appearance anyway, as if Mercedes used the same steering wheel throughout the '80s.
