cost to replace 103 head
 

There is a member here who has a rebuilt 103 head... i am considering buying it for insurance...

the CE needs valve stem seals... and i'll try those...but it could very well need more in the next 10-15k or so.

What would it cost to exchange this rebuilt head?

MB Doc or anyone? I live in Greenville, SC....so Atlanta is pretty close. I could drive down with a new head and exchange it and be on my way.

The 1986-89 M103 engine has it's own design head & the 1990-92(3) M103 has a different design..they won't interchange.

Takes about 6-7 hrs to R & R, add a few for misc parts & hoses.

thanks doc, i'll check, but i think the head is from an 86...

like i said, Atlanta isn't that far.
