Automatic Shift while Moving/Rolling
 

Something I see others doing (especially valet parkers) is shifting the automatic gearbox from Reverse to Drive while the car is still rolling backwards. This happened to me the other day at a restaurant. I never do this, but it seems everyone else does. Isn't this terrible for the transmission? Has anyone seen this also?

yep. it will damage the clutch packs after a while.
