W210 Body Shop question

I went to pick up my car today from the body shop. Long story short, they put a new pass. door skin on and repainted. When I get to the body shop to inspect, the lower gasket on the door is hanging down by what looks like a black adhesive by about 3/4 ". Of course, I didn't take the car. My question is, doesn't that gasket just snap in place? I remember before the 'accident' it had fallen down one day and I just snapped it back in place. Reason I ask is that if it isn't adhesive, maybe they put the damn gasket on over wet paint?

Any ideas appreciated--this has not been a good overall experience.

I don't see anywhere in my database where you can get a door skin for a 210. Very interesting. As far as the weatherstrip goes, if is held on with clips,,, there are clips missing. If it recesses into grooves, that is where it should be without any glue.

In any event, it shows very poor attention to detail, and they should have noticed it prior to presenting the car to you.
