Rag top protection?

Hello everyone,
Its me again with another question. Can anyone tell me whats the best product to put on a rag top to keep the sun from completely destroying the canvas top on my 450SL? I live in New Mexico, and the sun here is extremely intense and burns up everything that it touches. Have looked at many products but am afraid of putting something on that will just make matters worse. Please help! Ted J. Gaskins
