I did the search but still confused. On my 1999 M112911 engine with the FSS system, do I use oil specified to MBīs norm 229.1 or 229.3. Does it make a difference? I have my indie set the FSS to 10,000 miles usually.

get an oil rated at 229.5. M1 0W40 would be the easiest choice.

You will have many excellent choices in your location.

Motul, ELF, Pentosin, LM, Castrol, etc.
