Blower Motor keeps running

Hi All, have a strange problem, the blower motor keeps running when the unit is in the off position, even after the ignition is turned off and the key is removed. Any ideas of what can be the issues? Please don't tell me CCU that thing is expensive.

sorry, failed to mention that was my 93 W140 (400SEL)
