Do you mean window sticker?

chiwanga 12-26-2006 09:59 PM

yes, a window sticker. I want to see what the MSRP and options prices, and maybe see what the advertised MPG where. Thanks

It wasn't so much the advertised mileage but the required EPA disclosure was 13 city / 16 highway.

www.fueleconomy.gov then "find and compare cars".

The window sticker for my '91 560SEC was $84,580 msrp, including the $1300 gas guzzler tax and $30 for California emission testing.

14 mpg city, 17 mpg highway.

In addition, the range was stated on the window sticker to be between 11 and 17 in the city, and between 14 and 20 on the highway.

If you already own the '88, you can call 1-800-formercedes, and providing you're able to provide them with a copy off a title to prove ownership, they could provide you with an accounting dept. copy of the window sticker for the car.

I wonder if it's possible to get the invoice for a Euro model?

You won't know until you ask. MB USA was very accomodating in getting me a copy of my Window Sticker -which was a Zerox copy of the original sticker.

Odd how MBUSA works - they must track vehicle ownership. Just last week they sent me an anniversery card for two years ownership of my "new MB", yes it was the 1985 SD.

What did you have to provide them with in order to get it?

They asked for a copy of the registration or insurance certificate for the vehicle.

Thanks. So, did you have to fax it, scan and e-mail it, snail mail, or ?

I mailed it to them - but didn't ask if fax or electronic doc's were OK. It didn't take long (2 weeks) and they called me when they found it and sent it FEDEX 2 day which I thought was a little beyond the call of duty.

In my request letter I did praise the classic car section of MBUSA so that might have fed the fire a little:P
