2000 C230 - Great Car but really bad blind spots due to mirrors

I would really l like to replace the drivers side and passenger side mirrors on my 2000 C230. I love the car, but the blind spots on each side seem very very bad for a car. No matter how I adjust them it seems like there is at least a 10 to 20 degree arc on both rear sides. A large SUV can comfortably be in that spot without me being able to see it in either the rear view mirror or either side mirrors. Please no lectures on how to set the mirrors, to me this is a very bad design.

I have heard that the stock European side mirrors are convex, at least on the side, and allow the driver to omit the blind spots. The US versions are not this way.

Could anyone please tell me where I could purchase the Euorpean version side mirrors or find an after market that would work with this car?

I would appreciate any help, this is becoming a real safety problem.

Thank You

With a body style like that how can you NOT expect a huge blind spot? It's an extremely poor design, yes.

Buying some of those little stick on round things for your mirrors may be the only option, other than looking over your shoulder before every lane change.

On my Crossfire I have a small round stick on mirror that can be applied to any corner on the side mirrors...adjusted properly they completely eliminate blind spots which are HORRIBLE on that car...

Any auto parts shop should have them...they have small rectangular versions as well...

I always add the little circle mirrors for blind spots on my vehicles.

Thanks for the reply's. I ordered the small retangular mirrors as well but have not yet installed them. I just wanted to see if I could somehow keep the appearance of the car as stock as possible.
