Heater Problem- 560SEL

 The 560 still has no heater blower. The only heat I get is off of the engine (which thankfully there is a lot of since I haven't replaced my hood pads yet, :) ). It is starting to get a little cool here in NC, so I am wondering, what is left to do to this heater. To refresh from post past, I thought it was the blower motor, bought a used motor, it tested good. Replaced motor, tested old motor from my car, it was good also. Put back in old motor, put used motor on shelf (as used motor did not work in car, either). Tested for current going to the motor. None. No current going to regulator (porqupine) either. Check fuse box, there is no fuse for blower motor in the space assigned to the blower motor. Install correct fuse, still no blower. Remove fuse, no blower. Do search here on the forum, read of the problems with the oe fuse, and how that there was many external fuse installed on 124 and 126 as well as 201 chassis cars. Check in the normally cited places for the external fuse. Nothing. Call the dealer who sold me the car, and did most of the service work, senior tech said that they usually routed the fuses UNDER the fuse box. I also talked to James Bunn of Bunn Auto near Wilson, and he said that the Ignition Switch energizes the Climate Controls on these models:confused:. He felt like that it wasn't the fuse.

So, I would be eternally grateful if you could answer these two questions.
1. How do you remove the fuse box?
2. Does the Ignition Switch theory make any since?

Thanks, and God Bless,
Dave.

Oh, and one final question. Since I am not getting any power to the motor in any speed, is it possible that the problem is the HVAC Controls?
Thanks, and God Bless,
Dave.

I SOLVED THE PROBLEM. With the forums help, of course:D . I did a search on the strip fuse, found a description for it, and, VOILA, under my hood, I recognize the little box. I look in there, and it is GONE, I mean cracked in halves. So I am getting one, and will have heat soon:) .
Thank You So Much, and God Bless You, Members of this Forum,
Dave.

To top this off, believe it or not, the MB dealer is mailing me the fuse FREE:D :D . I couldn't believe it. Of course, it only cost around 3.00, but I would have had to drive to Fayetteville, so I am saved of the trouble of doing that or waiting for them to get a check from me and then they sending me a part.
Thanks, and God Bless,
Dave.
