Please, I need help w/ a 96 s320 ashtray!
 

I am sorry if there is a better place for this post, please feel fre to tell me..
Does anyone know how the center console ashtray mech works? I removed the wood trim a to install wires for a new radio and somehow managed to knock the ashtray out of place, now it will not spring open when closed . I can tell that there is a small spring on the drivers side of the tray but do not see how it would be attached .. any help would be great . thanks
