i still have no power to the fuel pump, have replaced fuel pump relay, have cleaned crankshaft rpm sensor, tacho works ok, is there a collision shut dowm device on this car, car works fine with seperate feed to pump,

Most MB fuel pump relays of that era use the starter signal to get the relay energized below 300rpms. I know of no inertia switches on MBs.
Have you tried bypassing the relay to see if the circuit is good from the relay to the pump. Jump from 30 to 87 terminals usually the two oposing middle terminals of the relay (verify). |
87 230te fuel problems
thanks for your help steve, checked the relay feed as you suggested, feed in ok, then checked wiring out and found an alarm system that i have never used and they had cut fuel pump supply wire and routed it through this alarm, removed that and reconnected wire and every thing is fine now. thanks again for your help.
