'95 E320 headlight cracked

I need to replace the glass on the driver's side headlight on my '95 E320. I am not sure though. On this year can you replace just the glass or do I have to replace the whole assembly? The lense didn't show available on Fast Lane nor another page online... The whole assembly seems to be pretty pricey and I've seen some sets of headlights on ebay for under $200, but I just want to replace one, not both...

So, can I get just the glass or the whole assembly is needed on the '95? I had read about replacing just the glass on older W124s, but haven't found any info to confirm that would apply to my '95.

thanks

Just open the hood and investigate. You will see the grey plastic parts that clip over the male pieces on the headlight body. It can be done with the headlight in place, but if it's your first time it's safer to remove the assembly.

Take a look at http://www.v12uberalles.com/headlamp_lense_cleaning.htm
This is for the S Class but 124 is almost the same.

Before you buy the lens, see if yours have been glued where the clips are on the gray surround. There was a Factory TSB that had the dealers glue these so that no one could change the lens to Euro spec lens. The dealer was supposed to do this on any cars that came in for normal service, but very few ever got done, but check to make sure .
If they are original, you can just unclip them as Steve mentions..the plastic surround and gasket comes with the lens.

thanks

Thanks for the info guys. I am going to see if its glued tommorrow. If not, I'll order that lens. I am tired of seeing that cracked lense on there.
