MB Airbag & Service Reset Tool

I purchased an Airbag & Service Interval reset tool on the net. Of course, there are no directions (@#$&!!) that came with the little tool. Does anyone have experience with the tool? How to use it? It connects to the 38 pin connection (I found it in the engine compartment passenger side with a round cover) on the box that reads: "battery in trunk."
