w208 (CLK) convertible - Soft top issues

I'm posting this question on behalf of a couple of guys having this issue.

Here are the symptoms:
Top goes down normally. Goes back up normally however, there is no audible beep to indicate the top is ready to be locked in place and the windows won't roll back up automatically. Soft top light also blinks continuously after raising the top. In some cases, the trunk won't work.

Any convertible experts out there that can help?! Thanks in advance.
