Purge Valve & EGR...Am I screwed?
Hey Guys,
I had a problem with my EGR and MAS. Well I bought brand new MAS and changed it - that fixed it. Then I changed the EGR valve as well. Now I am getting the purge valve error code? ![]() ![]() Here is what I have done: I could not get the EGR line cleaned (yes it was that stuffed), so I decided to bypass it with one that I created. Well, everything worked well untill I had to bolt it on to the intake side, where it connects with 2 bolt. One of them broke while I was truing to bolt it in... ![]() Do you honestly think that I may be getting the PO 441 code because of what I have done??? I checked the Purge valve and it it working (Clicks). You can almost hear it clicking. I really do not know what will I do if this is causing it to throw that code... ![]() Please, help!!! I have to pass emissions test soon, and my light is ON... I do not understand why would it matter for the Purge valve if there is no connection between the EGR and the intake manifold, but who knows... Thanks Last edited by bronco; 02-03-2007 at 08:17 AM. |
