I have two questions that need help on:
1975 115 240D - How to remove A/C clutch (York compressor), Do I need a puller. 1991 124 300E - How to replace driver side lock cylinder. Thanks, jack |
Jack,
The clutch on the York compressor can by removed by removing the screw holding the clutch on the shaft and taping the clutch with a hammer. I have never had to use a puller. Don't even have one. The hammer has always done the job. Bill Lewallen;Lexington,Ky. Home of The Rolex 3 Day Event.. |

As it turn out, the A/C clutch on my 115 is not bad, I only have the tighten the belt. The noise disappear.
I have to replace the lock cylinder on the 124, the lock just turn when the key was inserted. after I loosen the small screw that holds the lock cylinder. The key freeze, will not turn either direction. I have to remove the lock cylinder container off the car door to free the key. I also replaced the oil sensor, and the transmission shift bushing. The vibration noise is gone. jack |
