I am in the process of replacing some of the A/C components on my '82 300DT. I have replaced the compressor, expansion valve, and receiver/dryer. I have seen posts commenting about an orifice tube but I can't seem to locate one on the car. Does my 300DT have one, or am I looking for something that should not be there?

Mercedes doesn't use an "orfice tube". I think that was a GM item...but then I don't mess with GM stuff. Now if I could just get the GM guys to leave Mercedes alone...

Thanks for the help. I could not find the orifice tube anywhere so I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything.
