water pump replacement
 

1989, 260E, 103 engine. (Engine number 106940 12 058671)

I am told the original water pump fitting on this engine has been discontinued and I need to used a new type of pump (updated?) which requires me to also replace a bunch of other things (hoses, pipes, thermostat cover, thermostat)
Anyone can shed light into this? Thanks.
