Blower motor question, need help!!
 

I had a shop replace my noisy fan blower motor in my '88 300Ce yesterday.

Brand new part with the squirrel cages already attached, so I don't think he could have installed it backwards.
It makes noise like it should be mad blowing like crazy but for some reason there is little air flow out of the vents.
Also, what little air flow there is, it is coming out of the upper middle and lower vents all the time regardless of which button is pushed. The mechanic said he would take a look at it, but he didnt know what could be the problem.

Does anyone have any experience with this to venture a guess?

It could very well be installed backwards.

Yes, it would be very easy to install it backwards. I think you have a good hunch about this.
