Is Anyone Running Mobil 1 0W40 in South Texas?

I have a 1988 560SL and am thinking of going with 0W40. Is it too thin for Texas summers? The car has had 20w50 dino it's whole life. No Leaks!

Ford now uses that as their recomended oils for new cars. Why would you go with 0w40? Why not just use 10w30?

I run 0W40 year round, and we get up to 105+ in the summertimes here. If you're really concerned about the heat, you could always try 15W50.

You might get some leakage with the M1.

You want to also consider something like a Delo 15W40.
