92 300E - bulb replacement

I'm trying to replace the bulbs in my front dome light and the trunk light, but I can't seem to figure out how to get the light covers off. Can anyone tell me how to remove the light covers without destroying them?

Still trying to figure out how to remove trunk light without damaging it. Can anyone help?

As I recall you simply pry it out with a small screwdriver.

I know on the interior dome light it matters which side you pry from. Does it matter on the trunk light? I tried a screwdriver and applied enough force that I was afraid any more more would break off the lip of the plastic lens.
