folding mirrors stuck c220 2002
 

hi both my mirrors only fold in and do not open again if i open them manualy and press open they shut do you think its a relay problem.
i have had both mirrors off at diferent times and they dont work with one of them of at eather side.

your car does not have a relay to fold the mirrors. They folding is controlled via door control modules. Are you sure there is no obstruction? Frozen? Ice?

hi no ice or anything i can prush them open. The close ok but even close when i press open. I have removed them and tryed them one at a time and the still just close. can you help please.

check the switch, clean with an electronic spray cleaner or use an eraser to clean the contacts. Where are you from?

manchester england. do you mean the switch inside that is above main light switch. do i have to take it out to clean. thanks danny

hi tryed to get out the switch. I removed the pannle from the side. removed the elec conection block. pushed two retaining clips in one at each side but it wont come out it seams stuck at the bottom. but i can not see how because the handbrake release is in the way.
