Going into MB ELITE, but wanting to know whats its like!

Hi I am new to this forum and was referred to it by a friend from UTI. I just recently got accepted into Mercedes Benz ELITE program and will be starting in May. I just want to know what the program is like such as test, how the study material is handed, and difficulty level.

Is there anyone here that been through it already that would like to tell me about their experiances? Thank you ^_^

you would probably get more of a response to this if you posted it in the tech forum. I know there are several current and former mb techs that post frequently here.

Yeah, see if you can wake up one of the mods. PM Zeus or Hatterasguy.

Also, do a search--I remember a thread about a guy going through that program that posted here a while ago.

PS: does Bahamut mean you are a man of non-pedigreed heritage from the Bahamas?

The Elite program is for technicians or tech school grad wanting to learn MB's specifically. Basics include HOW to's on literature & scanners & hopefully placement at a Benz dealer..

elite tech here

I have attended the mercedes elite program in Allentown,Pa and found it very beneficial. This facility has recently moved to Boston though. The elite program is the best way to learn the MB systems and diagnostic equipment in my opinion. Before attending this program I attended Wyotech in Laramie Wyoming. I actually found that the elite program was more beneficial than Wyotech was. Smaller classes and more one on one instruction helped this. Go into this program not thinking you know everything! Let's face it, most of the students in your Elite class will have graduated at the top of their respective classes at their past tech schools which means you're going to get some kids who think they know it all. Just go into this class willing to learn and be taught. The instructors are mostly all former MB techs with a lot of knowledge. Try and pay attention to every thing they have to tell you. I still find myself remembering certain lectures while working in the shop and I was there over 3 years ago. It can be overwhelming at times, but nothing too difficult. The instructors will tell you that you will be making a lot of money right off the bat. I found out real soon that this is not the case. Working in the shop has it's ups and downs, but you will definately learn a lot at the Elite school. Elite techs have haven't been treated too well at some mb dealers, but you just have to prove yourself and take you time. Be cool and relax. What training center are you attending? What tech school did you go to?Good luck man!
