Temporarily Fixed
I drilled a small 1/8" hole in the midsection of the converter and fed about 8" of coat hanger wire in until it wouldnt go any further, then plugged the hole with a sheet metal screw. It took about 5 minutes.
I don't expect the repair to last long but for now I'm enjoying the silence. |

I'd just remove the exhaust, cut a hole in the top of the cat, clear it out, fix the hole and put it back.

I've gutted plenty, just make sure to cover the eyes and wear a good dust mask. That stuff is very bad for you.
