My passenger front seat belt has always been a challenge to buckle and after a couple of years of owning my '84 300 SD I decided to replace it.
I found some new ones online through ebay (through Car Parts Wholesale) for about $80/pair (driver and passenger) plus shipping. You can see them at

They are definitely low priced, maybe too much so...
Anyway, I ordered them and have received them and am a little dismayed. They are definitely more cheaply made than my originals. They also lack a self contained tap, so I have to buy a nut to mount them beyond the hardware they sent me. Finally, and of most concern, is that the buckle piece (as you can see from the web site) does not match at all the existing buckle that slides on a rail in my car, so, if I install them, I don't know that I can move the seat forward and back all that much.
My question is, has anyone messed with these sort of replacements, or should I see if I can send them back? I think I still have a few days to do that if I so choose. Thanks.
