If I missed some please let me know. Once you start the Eng. it shutters as if flooded, and you can smell a rich condition, its rough running until the fuel clears out.I do not know the procedure for testing the injectors can some one tell me how to do this in my own shop? Thanks JNT.

Could also be a leaking fuel distributor, a fuel pump check valve, or a fuel accumulator. Usually, a fuel distributor it will get worse with time, and the car will begin to run rough and belch out white smoke.
Might be a little more difficult to test the injectors without the Bosch hand tester and CIS test gauge and fittings... but, you could run it, let it sit for a few, and then pull the plugs and check for a fuel odor at a particular cylinder.. Same with the cold start valve. (The old EFI cars were easier since you could just pull the whole fuel rail out with the injectors connected and check for drips.) An easy test for the accumulator is to temporarily pinch off the small line off the back side of it (sort of a "ghetto" test) and see if the problem persists. Good luck.
(BTW -- IMHO this test is far easier with something like
this.)
