cap and rotor
so as i have already been told that I wasted my money on dealer spec bosch spark plug wires, i was wondering if the bosch distributor cap and rotor was an adequate replacement for my 420sel. i dont want to waste another 130 dollars.

John, you likely could have purchased ignition wires for less online, but $130 sounds cheap for genuine MB ignition wires. Bosch is the OEM of distributor caps and rotors. Shop around for the best price.

Bosch is good stuff, I've also used the "Bremi" brand with no issues.

Bosch wires are expensive but not a waist of money, they last a lot longer than most other brands. On my 300SE (M103) 20K mls for Beru 120K mls for Bosch.
The same for cap and rotor. Just make sure they are genuine Bosch and not “system Bosch” Using cheap parts take the fun out of driving a Mercedes and since they last much shorter you won’t save money. |
ok I'll swing for the bosch. I tell ya, this is the only car ive had to save up to do a tuneup!
