Which Scanner/Programmer for a Shop?
 

The independent shop which does a lot of the work on my MB's is looking for a scanner/programmer that will work on MB's. He's been using the AST unit, which is great for reading codes; but he would like something more that he can use to set/program CPU's, ECU's, Instrument Clusters, etc to individual vehicles.

He tried the StarTek unit from MBUSA, but it's more expensive than he wants to pay.

Are there any less expensive options that will work for him? Can any of you pros point me for him?

ast has upgraded to a laptop that will do all that the startek will do and it's a lot cheaper.
